Spot basis bids for corn and soyabeans were unchanged at most processors and elevators of US Midwest on Friday, grain dealers said. Farmer selling was slow. Although the basis was mostly steady, bids rose by 2 cents per bushel in Decatur, Illinois.

Dealers continued to roll their soyabean basis bids to the Chicago Board of Trade March soyabean futures contract from January contract. The January contract expires on January 12.
